Technical Marketer
About Ultra Security
Ultra Security is building the security and compliance foundation for the age of AI and MCP (Model Context Protocol). We help AI-native teams secure their autonomous systems, agentic actions, increase their AI capabilities, and earn customer trust without slowing product velocity.
Agents take action. Ultra secures them.
The Role
We're looking for our first Technical Marketer -- a prosumer brand/product marketer who lives at the intersection of marketing and engineering -- to define and scale how the market understands Ultra. What we're building, who it's for, why it matters for security, and why now.
As a Technical Marketer at Ultra, you will own how we translate highly technical product capabilities (agent-MCP connectivity, security guardrails, audit logs, runtime security) into clear, compelling narratives, and ship the assets and systems to take those narratives to market.
This is an execution-forward role with strong ownership. You'll work closely with the founding team and collaborate directly with technical stakeholders to ship quickly and iterate based on feedback.
What You'll Do
Positioning, Messaging, and Narrative
- Own Ultra's positioning and messaging across core personas (security leaders, platform/infra engineering, AI/agent builders)
- Build crisp narrative frameworks for: "why Ultra," "why now," "what problem we solve," and "how we're different"
- Develop and maintain buyer-facing messaging for key product pillars
Go-to-Market and Launches
- Drive major product launches end-to-end: planning, cross-functional coordination, asset production, and post-launch iteration
- Own launch readiness: clarity of value prop, target audience, pricing/packaging inputs, and internal enablement
- Partner with product/engineering to deeply understand roadmap and translate it into a market-facing story
Website Messaging and Conversion
- Own the website as a core GTM asset with crisp messaging and fast iteration loops
- Ship high-quality website updates (landing pages, product pages, use-case pages)
- Set and maintain a lightweight website content system with a cadence for refreshing copy
Sales Enablement and Competitive Readiness
- Create and maintain sales enablement assets: pitch deck, one-pagers, talk tracks, demo scripts, and competitive battlecards
- Partner closely with the team on field feedback, customer FAQs, and procurement/security diligence narratives
Events and Live Product Marketing
- Own product marketing for live events: narrative, booth/venue messaging, collateral, demos, and follow-up flows
- Ensure Ultra shows up with a polished, differentiated presence at conferences and meetups
Technical Content and Thought Leadership
- Produce content that establishes Ultra as the category leader: blog posts, technical explainers, webinars, guides, and customer stories
- Collaborate with the team to publish credible, technical content on agent/tool risk and MCP architecture patterns
Agentic GTM Stack
- Build and maintain an internal agentic GTM stack: prompt libraries, agent workflows, campaign iteration loops, and MCP connections
- Use AI tools and agents to accelerate research, drafting, and analysis
- Help the team adopt a shared, AI-forward way of working
What You Bring
Must-haves
- 5+ years of B2B tech marketing experience (product marketing, developer marketing, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to write and ship technical assets that engineers and security teams respect
- Strong writing and storytelling: you can explain complex products simply without dumbing them down
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional workstreams with product/engineering and ship on deadlines
- Startup experience (ideally Series C or earlier) with comfort wearing multiple hats
AI-native requirements
- Hands-on familiarity with modern AI tooling (LLMs, assistants, evals, workflow automation) and comfort using it daily
- Experience marketing AI products and/or highly technical developer/security products
- Familiarity with agents, tool calling, and the ecosystem around MCP servers
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in security, infrastructure, compliance, DevTools, or developer-facing SaaS
- Experience building community and technical thought leadership
- Experience creating GTM for category-defining products
Travel
This role is remote, but requires travel roughly twice a quarter for team offsites and live events/conferences.
